5 TIPS | to create scroll-stopping Instagram posts.

I am so excited to share these with you guys as these tips have totally changed the gram game for me. These are basically my favourite points of advice taken from some of my favourite bloggers and influencers. Let’s go! ⠀

1. WIPE YOUR CAMERA LENS 📱 if you don’t do this often, you will be surprised at the quality difference this simple trick creates! Throughout the day, our phone camera lens makes contact with more hands and surfaces than you can imagine. These leave a residue that result in a blurred, low-quality image. I usually use something I'm wearing just to give the lens a quick wipe! Just make sure you are not using a rough material that can scratch the lens. ⠀

2. LIGHTING 🌞 make sure whatever or whoever you are taking a picture of is standing facing the light. If you have light behind you, it may cause the object of focus to silhouette or your background to be extremely over exposed. Instagram LOVES bright and well-lit photos. So make sure your lighting game is on point.

3. SQUARE IS FAIR 🙄 we often forget that even though Instagram offers a portrait, landscape and square display of our photos in the feed, they still display as squares on your grid! Watch out for missing heads! ⠀

4. CONSISTENCY ♻️ Pick a colour palette, pick a filter and stick to it! There’s nothing like a unified look on the grid! (I’m so bad at this, but trying). ⠀

5. APPS ARE YOUR FRIENDS 📱 some of my favourite apps are: Lightroom, VSCO, Plann and Quickshot ✨ There are really so many useful apps out there that are capable of doing incredible things! Sometimes I wonder why we even need Photoshop (especially for those who are creating content for digital use only). Don't be shy or resistant to try out new apps and utilise ones you know.

Hope this helps someone out there 🙂 ⠀
