Our world lies on the foundation of a whirlwind of stories. In fact, we were raised on the stories our parents told us. Stories help humans connect with others, and enable a shared experience, a relationship and a beginning of another story. In fact, we tell, listen to and read stories every day of our lives. Whether it be news, family updates or watching series. So what are brand stories? ⠀
⠀
👉 It is the message that your brand is trying to get across to your audience. What value is it bringing to society? What is it trying to say with its products or services? Is your brand trying to tell the story of unity? Or maybe individuality? ⠀
⠀
👉 It is one of the first things that your audience thinks of when thinking of your brand. Stories create an atmosphere or an association to something special when someone thinks of your brand. For example, when I think of Nike, I associate the brand with strength, power, invincibility. And their slogan, "Just Do It", says exactly that.
⠀
👉 It is the message that your audience spreads to others via word of mouth and other means. So this association or atmosphere that your brand passes onto its clients, is exactly the way in which your clients will communicate to others about your brand. This is why brand story is so important. What story do you want your clients to be spreading about your brand? ⠀
⠀
So therefore it’s important to write your brand’s story so that people can connect and relate. People are more likely to support a figure that they are relatable to vs. the opposite. ⠀
Get personal and dig deep into the meaning behind what you are selling. Put heart into it. Put a story behind it. Then more will listen.

What’s your story? 📒 ⠀
